How to Prevent Back Pain?

The cure of back pain can often be a long drawn and dedicated program that one has to adhere to in a more or less religious manner. But one can surely ask, is it really worth falling into the pit and then clawing your way out of it? Well, not necessarily, in fact not at all. For all those of who think that way must have sure heard of the age-old adage "prevention is better than cure".

And the good news is that the menace called back can for surely be prevented, all that is required is will and determination on ones part. A positive attitude and the desire to have a healthy back and therefore a desire to follow a healthy lifestyle is the only pre-requisite to preventing back pain.

Though one of the reasons for back pain can be internal or external injury, it is not so in most of the cases. Back pain is usually the result of a cumulative effect than an isolated incident. Poor posturing, wrong body mechanics, general lack of physical fitness, stressful lifestyles and working habits etc. show up their consequence in the form of back pain at some or the other stage in ones life.

The best way of preventing back pain is to follow the right postures of sitting, standing etc.; as these go a long way in ensuring that the back muscles do not come under any additional or unwarranted stress.

Our lifestyles and work cultures go a long way in determining the postures that we would be adopting more often than not. It is imperative that we realize that these postures that we adopt vary the amount of stress that the back experiences, there by are essentially the root causes of the back pain that we suffer from.

Prevention of back pain is all about having the right attitude, the attitude to keep fit and lead a healthy lifestyle. And it is better we realize that the problem of back pain, or any other for that matter is better avoided than solved when it finally arrives.
