Herbal Remedies for Back Pain

Hot peppers
Hot peppers

Cayenne pepper is very effective in relieving back pain. It works really wonders. Gently rub a paste of pepper on the back to help alleviate the pain.  It contains an ingredient called capsaicin that provides good relief.

Red Pepper and Cold Cream
Red Pepper and Cold Cream

Add red pepper powder to the cold cream until it turns pink. Now massage it on the back. It will effectively ease the discomfort.

Alcohol and Red Pepper

Mix an ounce of red pepper into a quart of rubbing alcohol. Let the mixture stay as such for about 3 weeks. Then start using it by applying on the affected area.

This is a best herbal remedy for back pain, as it helps improve blood circulation and reduces the swelling if present. Add two cups of Epsom salts to hot water and take bath.

Ginger
Ginger

Ginger contains 12 anti-inflammatory components that help relive back pain. Soak thin slices of ginger in water and boil the mixture. When the mixture begins boiling, simmer for about 30 minutes on a low flame. Cool the mixture and strain the liquid. Drink the strained mixture and if needed, add honey and drink.

This herb also contains anti-inflammatory properties which help relieve pain and discomfort. It is available commercially in the form of capsule or pill.

Willow Bark
Willow Bark

This is another herb which has similar properties of aspirin. It is very effective in reducing back pain symptoms and usually tea made from willow bark plant is consumed.
