Gentle and slow activity in the morning helps to wake up tired muscles and stiff joints. Take deep and relaxed breathing soon after waking up from the bed. If you have severe back pain, some moves may not be advisable. Consulting your doctor helps you know the best start up.
Choose comfortable and well-cushioned shoes to help your back feel healthy. Always choose flats rather than heels. Cushioned soles are an added advantage for daily wear. They reduce the impact when you walk on hard surfaces and thus help to protect back, knees and hips.
Your shoulder may sometimes involve in great phone rest when you happen to perform multitasks at a time. This posture is common cause for back pain and neck pain. Whenever you want to make a hands-free call, use a headset, speaker option or a shoulder support on your phone.
Taking the stairs is advisable as it is a part of exercise and helps to keep you fit. However, it may not be the right exercise for some people with back pains and those with knee problems. It is always better to ask your doctor’s suggestion before taking the stairs.
Activities like vacuuming, mowing a lawn and using a stroller which require pushing may strain your back. Always keep your elbow close to your trunk while involving in above activities. Do not keep your arms straight while pushing. Use a lightweight vacuum or stroller to help yourselves.
The best position is to sleep on your side. Keeping a small pillow between your knees is helpful in keeping your back in proper position. If you happen to sleep on your back, place the pillow beneath your knees. Avoid sleeping on stomach as it can worsen the back pain.
