Midline Disc Protrusions

Generally, disc protrusions are a cause of lower back pain. The discs in the back are constructed out of a ring of fibers known as annulus and the annulus id located in a center which is known as nucleus. The protective outer layer is solid and inside layer is soft like a gel.

The disc protrusion occurs when the nucleus slips into the annulus. The back of the disc bulges out and it presses against a nerve causing severe pain.

The midline disc protrusions happen as a result of aging. They can be prevented by taking nutritious diet and doing regular exercises. The sitting, sleeping, walking and standing postures are as important as exercises and diet. Enough water content and nutrition in the body prevents the occurrence of disc problems. It maintains the water content and flexibility of the in the bones.

Causes of Superimposed Disc Protrusions in the Cervical

There can be many causes of cervical disc protrusion. The cervical disc protrusion affects the upper back area. It can cause severe pain and irritation in the nerves.
It is advisable to consult a specialist to get the right instructions to get rid of the pain and irritation.
